A delicious and vibrant Turkish pasta dish featuring a creamy yogurt sauce and hearty ground beef, perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 4 garlic cloves (grated)
  • Juice from ½ lemon
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion (diced)
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika (for sautéing)
  • Cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Feta cheese (crumbled)
  • 12 oz cooked pasta (like fusilli or penne)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Greek yogurt base by mixing yogurt, grated garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  2. Sauté the diced onion in a skillet with butter over medium heat until soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Brown the ground beef in the skillet with onions, breaking it apart, for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Mix in the tomato paste and stir to combine, cooking for an additional minute.
  5. Add water to reach your desired sauce consistency, adjusting salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Combine the pasta with the sauce, tossing to warm through.
  7. Plate the pasta, topping with the yogurt mixture, halved cherry tomatoes, fresh parsley, and crumbled feta.

Notes

Use gluten-free pasta or zoodles for a lighter meal. Adjust seasonings and toppings according to preference.
