Blackberry Basil Ricotta Pizza

Elevate your pizza game with a creamy ricotta base, sweet blackberry sauce, and fresh basil for a delightful twist.

Ingredients

  • Pizza Dough (Store-bought or Homemade)
  • Ricotta Cheese (1 cup)
  • Blackberries (1 cup, fresh or frozen)
  • Honey (2 tbsp)
  • Fresh Basil (1/4 cup, chopped)
  • Olive Oil (1 tbsp)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Cracked Black Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you’re using pizza stones, place them in the oven as it preheats.
  2. Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Mix the ricotta cheese with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and cracked black pepper in a bowl.
  4. Combine blackberries and honey in a small saucepan over medium heat, mashing as they warm, and cook until it thickens.
  5. Spread the ricotta evenly over the rolled-out dough, drizzle blackberry sauce, and sprinkle chopped basil on top.
  6. Slide the pizza onto your preheated pizza stone or baking sheet and bake for about 12–15 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and garnish with a drizzle of olive oil.

Notes

Serve with additional blackberries and a light salad for a perfect meal.
