Cheeseburger French Fry Casserole

A flavorful and easy casserole combining two of America’s favorite comfort foods: cheeseburgers and French fries, topped with gooey cheese.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups frozen French fries
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: pickles, ketchup, mustard for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for 6-8 minutes. Add chopped onion and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Combine the cooked beef and onion with cream of mushroom soup and milk in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Layer half of the frozen French fries in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, pour the beef mixture over, top with the remaining fries, and add shredded cheese.
  5. Bake covered with foil for 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Customize with toppings like pickles, ketchup, and mustard! Experiment with variations like adding veggies, spicy elements, or swapping the meat.
