  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons shawarma spice mix
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pita bread
  • Fresh vegetables (lettuce, tomato, onion)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a large bowl, combine the chicken, olive oil, and shawarma spice mix. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes, or overnight.
  2. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
  3. Cook the chicken: Place the chicken in the skillet/grill, cooking for 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  4. Prepare the garlic sauce: In a small bowl, mix together minced garlic, yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Slice the chicken after resting for 5 minutes.
  6. Assemble your Chicken Shawarma on pita with fresh vegetables and garlic sauce.
