Creamy Beef Pasta

A comforting creamy pasta dish with seasoned ground beef, perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Penne Pasta
  • 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp Olive Oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, add the penne pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually around 8-10 minutes. Reserve a cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sauté the Aromatics: While your pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Then, toss in minced garlic and continue cooking for another 30 seconds to a minute.
  3. Brown the Beef: Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned, roughly 6-8 minutes.
  4. Make the Creamy Sauce: Reduce heat to low, pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously. Let it simmer gently so it thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Once the cream is nice and thick, add the cooked pasta straight into the skillet, tossing to coat every piece with sauce. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Taste and Adjust: Always taste before serving and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
  7. Plate and Garnish: Dish the creamy pasta into bowls or onto plates. Lightly sprinkle more Parmesan on top, and add fresh herbs like parsley or basil for garnish.
