Lavender Honey Cupcakes

Delightful cupcakes infused with the fragrant flavors of lavender and sweetened with honey, creating a floral treat that’s perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dried Culinary Lavender
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Honey (for frosting)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • (Optional) 1/3 cup Milk
  • (Optional) 2 large Eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a cupcake tin with your favorite cupcake liners.
  3. Combine in a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and lavender.
  4. Cream together butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until fluffy.
  5. Mix in honey gradually.
  6. Add in the eggs and mix until just combined.
  7. Alternate adding the dry ingredients with milk until combined.
  8. Fill each liner about 2/3 full.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  11. Combine frosting ingredients and beat until smooth.
  12. Frost cupcakes once cooled, and garnish with dried lavender.

Notes

Serve with tea or herbal brew for a delightful pairing. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
