One Pot Creamy Garlic Pasta

A deliciously simple creamy garlic pasta made in one pot, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Pasta (fettuccine, penne, spaghetti, or farfalle)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups Milk (whole or 2% recommended)
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Fresh Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over medium-high heat. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Reserve about a cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sauté the Garlic: In the same pot, add olive oil and heat over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Pour in the milk and stir to combine with the garlic. Bring it to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add the Cheese: Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth, then season with salt and pepper.
  5. Toss the Pasta: Return the cooked pasta to the pot, tossing in the creamy garlic sauce. Add reserved pasta water as needed to achieve desired consistency.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and serve immediately, topped with fresh parsley.

Notes

Serve it family-style with a simple mixed greens salad and crusty garlic bread.
