Cherry Amaretto Tiramisu

An indulgent dessert featuring layers of silky mascarpone, cherries, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and a splash of amaretto liqueur.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup amaretto liqueur
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1620 ladyfinger cookies
  • 2 cups cherries, pitted and chopped
  • Dark chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Coffee and Cherries: Brew your strong coffee and let it cool. Combine with the amaretto in a shallow dish for soaking ladyfingers. Set aside pitted and chopped cherries.
  2. Make the Mascarpone Mixture: Beat the mascarpone cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and mix well. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form and gently fold it into the mascarpone mixture.
  3. Soak the Ladyfingers: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee-amaretto mixture. Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers in a serving dish.
  4. Layer It Up: Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, sprinkle half of the chopped cherries over it. Repeat with remaining ladyfingers and top with remaining mascarpone and cherries.
  5. Chill and Serve: Cover and chill for at least 4 hours before serving. Garnish with dark chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes

For best results, allow the tiramisu to chill overnight to enhance flavors. Serve in individual cups for a chic presentation.
