  • Ingredients required on the cake mix box (eggs, oil, water)
  • Red and blue food coloring
  • White frosting
  • Sprinkles (red, white, and blue)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a standard 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  3. Prepare your cake mix according to the instructions on the box.
  4. Divide the batter evenly into three separate bowls.
  5. Layer the batter starting with a spoonful of red, followed by white, and then blue.
  6. Bake according to the cake mix package instructions, usually around 18–20 minutes.
  7. Cool the cupcakes in the tin for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  8. Frost and decorate with sprinkles once cool.

Notes
