Ghost Pancakes

A delightful twist on classic pancakes, perfect for Halloween gatherings or fun breakfasts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • mini chocolate chips (for eyes)
  • whipped cream
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pancake batter: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, mix together milk, egg, and melted butter. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just mixed.
  2. Get the griddle ready: Preheat your griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.
  3. Make the ghost shapes: Pour batter onto the griddle, shaping it like a ghost’s head.
  4. The waiting game: Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Flip with confidence: Carefully flip pancakes and cook until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.
  6. Create ghostly faces: Arrange pancakes on a plate and use mini chocolate chips for eyes and mouth.
  7. Finish with whipped cream: Add a dollop of whipped cream and a dust of powdered sugar before serving.
