Refreshing Lebanese Mint Lemonade (Limonana Mint)

A vibrant and refreshing drink balancing the tartness of fresh lemons with uplifting notes of mint, perfect for summer days.

Ingredients

  • Fresh lemons (approx. 6-7)
  • Fresh mint leaves (1 cup)
  • Sugar (1/2 cup)
  • Cold water (6 cups)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Juice the lemons by rolling them on the counter, cutting them in half, and extracting the juice into a measuring cup.
  2. Prepare the mint by rinsing leaves and gently muddling them in a large pitcher.
  3. Dissolve the sugar in the pitcher with the muddled mint, then add lemon juice and 2 cups of cold water, stirring well.
  4. Combine the remaining cold water (4 cups), stir, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Serve the chilled Limonana over ice with garnishes like mint sprigs or lemon slices.

Notes

For extra flavor, try freezing mint leaves in your ice cubes or consider alternate sweeteners like honey or agave.
