Crispy Garlic Parmesan Green Beans

A vibrant and crunchy side dish that combines fresh green beans with garlic and Parmesan for a deliciously crispy experience.

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse the fresh green beans under cool water and trim off the tough ends.
  3. Combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes in a large bowl and mix well.
  4. Add the trimmed green beans to the bowl and toss until they are well coated.
  5. Spread the beans out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Roast for about 15-20 minutes, checking at the 10-minute mark to ensure even cooking.
  7. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the hot green beans and return to the oven for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top, and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes
