Monster Cookies

Delightfully chunky and colorful cookies filled with M&Ms, peanut butter, and rolled oats, perfect for creating cherished memories.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter (or nut/seed butter)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg (or flaxseed meal substitute)
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup M&Ms (or chocolate chips)
  • Candy eyes for decoration
  • Syrup (corn or maple)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  3. Mix peanut butter, sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  4. Add the egg and mix well.
  5. Combine oats, flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Fold in M&Ms or chocolate chips.
  8. Scoop rounded mounds onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  9. Press on candy eyes and additional M&Ms for decoration.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers are soft.
  11. Cool for 5 minutes on sheets before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For fun variations, try different nut butters or add spices like cinnamon. For a gluten-free version, substitute flour with a gluten-free blend.
