Boozy Cherry Bombs

A delightful treat that combines dessert and cocktail, where Maraschino cherries are infused with Malibu Rum, coated in white chocolate, and garnished with bright blue sanding sugar.

  • 2 Large Jars of Maraschino Cherries (with Stems, 3033 count)
  • 1 package of Ghirardelli White Chocolate Melting Wafers
  • 1/2 cup of Malibu Rum
  • Bright Blue Sanding Sugar

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Cherries: Drain the Maraschino cherries, keeping the stems intact, and pat them dry.
  2. Infuse the Cherries: Toss the cherries in a bowl with Malibu Rum, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  3. Melt the White Chocolate: Melt the wafers in a microwave or double boiler, stirring until smooth.
  4. Dip the Cherries: Grab each cherry by the stem, dip in chocolate, and let excess chocolate drip off.
  5. Coat with Sanding Sugar: Roll the chocolate-coated cherry in sanding sugar before the chocolate sets.
  6. Set the Cherry Bombs: Place dipped cherries on a parchment-lined sheet and refrigerate until chocolate is firm, about 30 minutes.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Present your Boozy Cherry Bombs in a cute dish and keep them chilled until serving.
