Peach Galette

A rustic, free-form tart bursting with juicy peaches and lightly spiced with cinnamon, perfect for summer gatherings.

  • 2 cups sliced fresh peaches
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sugar (for topping)
  • Vanilla ice cream (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the sliced peaches, lemon juice, cinnamon, and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. Place the pie crust on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle the flour in the center of the crust, leaving about an inch of the edge free.
  5. Layer the peach mixture on top of the flour.
  6. Fold the edges of the crust over the peaches, pleating as you go.
  7. Brush the crust with the beaten egg and sprinkle the coarse sugar on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes.
  9. Cool for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a fun twist, try adding berries, nuts, or a drizzle of caramel before serving.
