Quick and Easy Homemade Creamed Corn

A creamy, dreamy delight that celebrates the sweet flavors of corn, perfect for family dinners.

  • 4 cups sweet corn (frozen or fresh)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your corn: If you’re using fresh corn, shuck those ears and slice off the kernels. If using frozen corn, measure out four cups and let it thaw slightly.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat without browning.
  3. Add the corn and sauté for about 5–7 minutes until slightly golden.
  4. Incorporate the heavy cream, sugar, salt, and pepper and stir well.
  5. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mixture thickens.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  7. Serve in a bowl, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.
