Ingredients

  • Fresh Lemons (4-5)
  • Sweetener (1 cup, such as erythritol, stevia, or monk fruit)
  • Water (4 cups)
  • Fresh Mint Leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Ice Cubes (to serve)

Instructions

  1. Juice the lemons: Start by rolling the lemons on the counter gently to loosen the juice. Cut them in half and use a citrus juicer to squeeze out their juice. Aim for about 1 cup of lemon juice.
  2. Mix the sweetener: In a medium saucepan, combine the sweetener with one cup of water and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir until the sweetener dissolves completely.
  3. Combine the ingredients: In a large pitcher, mix the strained lemon juice with the remaining three cups of cold water. Add the simple syrup, adjusting sweetness as desired.
  4. Chill in the fridge: Pop the pitcher into the fridge for about 30 minutes to chill.
  5. Serve and garnish: Stir the lemonade well before serving, pour it into chilled glasses over ice, and garnish with mint or basil.

Notes
