Spiced Pomegranate Sorbet

A refreshing Spiced Pomegranate Sorbet that combines sweet, tart, and a hint of spice, perfect for warm summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh pomegranate juice
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • Fresh pomegranate seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Juice the Pomegranates – Cut them in half and use a juicer to extract the juice.
  2. Mix the Ingredients – Combine pomegranate juice, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cardamom in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Chill the Mixture – Remove from heat and allow cooling for about 15 minutes.
  4. Blend until smooth, then strain out any seeds if necessary.
  5. Chill, Freeze, and Stir – Transfer to a shallow dish, freeze, and stir every 30 minutes for about 2-3 hours.
  6. Serve and Enjoy – Scoop into bowls and garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds and mint.

Notes

Stir the mixture every 30 minutes while freezing for a smoother texture and avoid ice crystals.
