Texas Roadhouse Butter Chicken Skillet

A delicious, buttery chicken skillet that captures the comforting flavors reminiscent of Texas Roadhouse.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your chicken breasts by patting them dry and seasoning with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, until golden and cooked through.
  3. Create the butter sauce by removing the chicken, adding unsalted butter, and stirring in honey until melted.
  4. Add chicken broth to the skillet, stirring continuously and let it simmer to thicken.
  5. Bring the chicken back to the skillet and spoon sauce over it, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Plate the dish by sprinkling chopped parsley on top before serving.

Notes

Pair with rice, mashed potatoes, or a salad. For a vegetarian option, replace chicken with portobello mushrooms or chickpeas.
